7-Day Kilimanjaro Rongai Route

The quiet northern approach to Kilimanjaro, drier than the southern routes and a strong choice during the wetter months.

Overview

Route and travel style

Rongai approaches from the remote north near the Kenyan border, sees fewer climbers and tends to stay drier. The gentle gradient and good acclimatization profile make it a comfortable, less-crowded path to the summit.
