Two nights in Kenya's best-known reserve, built for travellers with limited time. You cross the Great Rift Valley on the way in, spend a whole day searching the open plains and the Mara River for big cats and the herds, and meet a Maasai family before heading back to Nairobi.

3 DaysNairobi to the Masai Mara
Morning pick-up in Nairobi and a drive across the Great Rift Valley via Narok. Check in at your camp and head out for a late-afternoon game drive as the light softens.
Lunch, dinnerA full day in the Mara
Out early with a picnic lunch packed. Follow lion, cheetah and elephant across the plains and visit the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles gather and the herds cross in season.
Breakfast, lunch, dinnerMaasai village and return
After breakfast, spend the morning with a Maasai community to learn about daily life and traditions, then drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon.
