From roughly late January to March the herds concentrate on the short-grass plains of Ndutu. It is one of the most dramatic wildlife windows of the year, with thousands of newborns and constant big-cat activity, and a quieter time to travel.

Arrival in Arusha
Airport transfer and an evening briefing on the calving season and where the herds are now.

Lake Manyara
Game drive at Lake Manyara, then continue to the highlands near Ngorongoro.

Full crater morning, then drive toward the Ndutu area for the night.
